Runway launches App Studio and opens Runway Ads to every paid plan
Runway now lets paid users turn a prompt or a saved Workflow into a shareable app, and its ad-variant tool is out of beta on all paid plans. Both run on your existing credits.
Runway shipped two features in two days. On 26 Oct it announced App Studio, which builds a small app with its own interface from a plain-language description or from a Workflow or Agent session you already have. You fix the prompt, model chain and settings once, then hand teammates a form with only the inputs they need. Runway says App Studio writes, tests and hosts the app, and lets you preview changes and roll back to older versions.
Runway says App Studio is included on every paid plan, and building, running and hosting all draw on your normal credit balance. Free users can only run Runway’s built-in apps, such as Character Swap and 3D Camera Control, and apps shared with them. Anyone who opens a public link pays for their own generations.
On 27 Oct Runway made Runway Ads generally available on all paid plans. It makes variants of ads that already perform, and publishes to Meta, Google and TikTok after a teammate approves each one. Runway hasn’t said how many credits either feature uses.
If you run the same edits over and over, App Studio adds value to a plan you may already pay for. Check how many credits a test app burns before you share it with a team.
