Wink adds a browser-based AI converter that upscales footage to 4K

Wink's HD Video Converter cleans up noise, texture and color while converting existing clips to 1080p, 2K or 4K, with batch processing in the cloud.

Wink, the video editing app, has introduced an online HD Video Converter for improving and repurposing existing footage, according to the company’s announcement.

The idea is to fix quality while converting. Wink says the tool reduces grain, refines fine textures and corrects color, and adjusts its processing as lighting, motion and depth change within a clip, while trying to keep skin texture and hair detail natural rather than over-smoothed.

Users pick 1080p, 2K or 4K output and can bring in MP4, MOV or MKV files. Processing runs in the cloud, and batch conversion handles several files in one job, which Wink pitches at sellers updating product clips and social teams working to deadlines.

The target is footage that has been compressed, downloaded and reused a few times before it reaches TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Wink has not published independent quality tests, so it is worth trying on your own clips before relying on it.
