Kling 4.0 launches with 30-second clips and up to 15 reference assets
Kuaishou's new Kling model focuses on steadier fast motion, longer single takes and tighter control through reference images and keyframes.
Kuaishou has released Kling 4.0, the latest version of its Kling AI video model, which went live on October 15 according to the company’s announcement.
Kuaishou frames the update around three goals: realism, control and professional quality. The main claims are steadier large-scale motion in fast action and complex camera moves such as tracking and orbit shots, native generation of up to 30 seconds in a single pass, and an “Omni Reference” feature that accepts up to 15 reference assets and 10 keyframes to guide a shot.
The company also lists output of up to 10-bit HDR, aimed at keeping detail in backlit, night and neon scenes for color grading later, and says 4K, 1080p and 21:9 ultrawide support is coming.
Coverage of the launch, including from TechNode, reads it as a shift in AI video competition from raw visual quality toward directorial control. These are Kuaishou’s own claims, so expect independent comparisons in the coming weeks.
