Kling AI homepage announcing the all-new Kling 4.0

Kuaishou's AI video studio, home of Kling 4.0 with native 30-second clips, stereo audio and up to 15 reference assets, plus 4K output, Motion Control and an API

Best for: Filmmakers, ad makers and social creators who want one of the leading video models direct from its maker, with long native clips, sound and fine control over references and keyframes.

Higgsfield or Kling AI?

If Kling is the only model you plan to use, buy it from Kling. You get Kling 4.0, native 4K and the full set of controls, and the cost per clip comes out about the same. Higgsfield makes sense when Kling is one of several models you want under one bill.

What each one is built for

Kling is Kuaishou’s own studio. New versions land there first, and Kling 4.0 runs up to 30 seconds per take with stereo sound. Keyframes, Omni Reference and Motion Control let you direct a shot. There are desktop apps for Mac and Windows.

Higgsfield is a reseller with a layer of studios. The model list in our review names Kling 3.0, not 4.0, alongside Seedance, Veo, Wan and Hailuo. What you pay for is Cinema Studio presets, Ads Studio, Lipsync Studio and the AI Influencer builder. Its own models make images, not video.

What it costs at typical use

Assume 20 Kling 3.0 clips a month, each 8 seconds at 720p.

  • Through Higgsfield: its plan picker puts this clip at about 14 credits, so 20 clips use 280. Starter has a limited model list, and our review does not confirm Kling 3.0 is on it, so plan on Plus at $39 a month yearly or $49 monthly. That works out to roughly 55 to 69 cents a clip, with 720 credits left for other models. Plus also comes with a one-time 7-day window of unlimited Kling 3.0.
  • Direct from Kling: a third party, citing Kling’s guide, puts a silent 5-second 720p clip at 30 credits. Scaled to 8 seconds, that is about 48 credits, or 960 for the month. Standard’s 660 credits cover only 13 clips, so you need Pro at $32.56 a month for 3,000 credits. That is about 52 cents a clip.

Per clip, it is close to even. Neither review says whether Higgsfield’s 14-credit figure includes audio, and Kling’s 30-credit figure does not. Check the live cost in each app before you commit.

Which to pick

  • Pick Higgsfield if you also want Seedance and Veo on the same balance, or you would rather start from ad and cinema presets than write long prompts. See the Higgsfield review.
  • Pick Kling if you want Kling 4.0, 30-second takes, native 4K, desktop apps or the cheapest entry plan at $8.80. See the Kling review.

Strengths and weaknesses

Higgsfield

  • Nearly every leading video model in one account
  • Studios and presets give non-prompters a fast path to polished shots
  • Plus and above unlock all models, not just a subset
  • Unlimited windows on selected models stretch heavy plans further
  • Commercial use of outputs is not restricted, per the help center
  • Large community gallery shows the prompts and assets behind each project
  • Starter only gets selected models; most of the catalog starts at Plus
  • Credit math shifts with promotions, unlimited windows and per-model prices
  • Unlimited models and free generations do not work in MCP, CLI, Canvas or Supercomputer
  • Footer lists an AI Face Swap tool, and Genjutsu recasts real footage, both easy to misuse without consent
  • No trial of paid plans; refunds only within 7 days with no credits used, minus a fee up to 6%
  • The interface is crowded, and the vendor's own reviews call it overwhelming

Kling AI

  • Sold direct by Kuaishou, the company that trains the models
  • Native 30-second clips on Kling 4.0, longer than most rivals per generation
  • Deep control with references, keyframes, Motion Control and multi-shot prompts
  • Native audio, including dialogue, in the same generation
  • Apps for every major platform, including desktop
  • Public API with a per-second price list
  • Credits get cheaper per 100 on bigger plans, from $1.33 down to $0.96 at renewal prices
  • The plan page does not list how many credits a clip costs, so you only see it in the app
  • Headline prices are first-month discounts; renewals cost more
  • Free Basic plan has a watermark, no 1080p and no commercial use
  • Premier and Ultra+ jump to $135 and $402 for the first month
  • API packs start at $700, too much for casual developers
  • So many models, modes and tools that newcomers can get lost
