HeyGen vs Creatify
Two ai avatars tools side by side: pricing, free plans, features and who each one suits.
#10 in AI avatars

The best-known AI avatar platform, with stock presenters, a digital twin of you, Video Agent and lip-synced translation into 175+ languages
Best for: Creators, coaches, course makers and marketing teams who want a realistic presenter, often a clone of themselves, and need the same video in many languages.
#12 in AI avatars

An AI ad platform that turns product URLs into UGC-style video ads with AI actors, then launches and tracks them on Meta and TikTok
Best for: E-commerce brands, app marketers and agencies who need a steady flow of UGC-style video ad variations to test on Meta and TikTok.
HeyGen or Creatify?
Both tools put an AI person on screen, but for different jobs. HeyGen makes presenter videos: explainers, courses and translated versions of you. Creatify makes short product ads and helps you launch and measure them. If you run paid social, pick Creatify. For anything longer than an ad, pick HeyGen.
What each one is built for
HeyGen centers on the presenter. You build a twin of yourself from a short clip, write in a text editor that controls gestures and emotion, or turn slides into a video. Its standout is translation that keeps your voice and re-syncs your lips. Creator videos can run 30 minutes.
Creatify centers on the ad. Paste a product URL, pick from hundreds of UGC-style actors, and get a ready ad. Higher plans add competitor research, Ad Clone and a launcher that reports ROAS per creative. Standard caps videos at 2 minutes, which is plenty for ads and useless for a lesson.
What it costs at typical use
Assume a small brand making 10 thirty-second product ads a month.
- Creatify Standard: $10 a month yearly or $15 monthly for 55 credits. The free plan’s ratio suggests about 5 credits per standard ad, so roughly 11 ads. Premium models cost more.
- HeyGen Creator: $24 a month yearly or $29 monthly for 600 credits. Ten 30-second ads is 5 minutes, which costs 80 to 155 credits on Avatar IV or 240 on Avatar V. You would have credits to spare, but no URL-to-ad flow, ad templates or launcher.
Flip the job and the math flips. Four 8-minute course videos a month is 32 minutes. That fits HeyGen Creator on Avatar IV at the low end of its rate. Creatify cannot make them at all on Standard.
Your own face is cheaper on HeyGen. Its free and Creator plans include a custom avatar. Creatify custom avatars start at Pro, $38 a month yearly.
Which to pick
- Pick HeyGen if you want a twin of yourself, make videos longer than 2 minutes, or need the same video in many languages. See the HeyGen review.
- Pick Creatify if you sell products online, test ad variations on Meta or TikTok, and want research and launch tools in one place. See the Creatify review.
