How we rank AI video tools

The ranking signal: real demand

Each list is ordered by all-time outbound clicks from the Awesome AI Tools directory, a large AI tool directory run by the same team. A click means a real person read about the tool and chose to visit it. Across thousands of visitors that is a cleaner signal of what creators want than any single reviewer’s taste.

We do not show star ratings or scores out of ten. A “9.2” pretends to a precision nobody has.

How each review is written

For every tool we:

1. Read the product site, pricing page, docs and changelog.
2. Use the product where a free tier or trial exists.
3. Capture screenshots of the real interface.
4. Write down what works, what breaks, and who should skip it.
5. Record the date we last checked. Pricing and features change fast in this category, so treat anything older than a few months with care.

What we will never do

• Sell a ranking position.
• Remove criticism because a tool pays us.
• Hide a better tool because it has no affiliate program.
